Blueberry Farmers & Vacation Rental Hosts

We're Emmye and Seth Wilson — family of 4 (2 daughters), accidental blueberry farmers, and vacation rental host. After graduating from Emmanuel College, Emmye moved to Lookout Mountain for a job opportunity, never imagining it would lead us to the place we now call home.

A few years after arriving, we stumbled upon a charming property with a European style home, waterfall, and hay house — and it was love at first sight. Captivated by its beauty and history, we knew we wanted to make it part of our story.

With a deep respect for the land and its legacy, we began developing the farm into something that could be both shared and preserved. In the 1970s/80s, Captain Blueberry and Cathrina planted over 400 blueberry bushes and built the waterfall, pond, and home inspired by Captain Blueberry's time in Europe. Unfortunately, it was too expensive to try to salvage the home so we now have this area as our overlook bridge, roof top deck, bath house and game room. 

Today, we grow fresh blueberries and host guests through our vacation rentals, offering a nostalgic getaway that mixes art, nature and child-like whimsy.

We’re grateful for the journey that brought us to Blueberry Falls Farm (once known as Strawhouse Blueberry Farm), and we’re honored to share this special place with you.
